The Canadian Association for Biological Anthropology (CABA-ACAB) is a learned society committed to promoting awareness and understanding of biological anthropology. Our members, including international scholars and students, explore the adaptation, variability, and evolution of humankind, as well as our hominin ancestors and nonhuman primate relatives. CABA-ACAB is inherently multidisciplinary, drawing from both natural and social sciences to enrich the study of human diversity and complexity.
Founded in 1972, CABA-ACAB was established to provide a professional platform for Canadian biological anthropologists to connect, share research, and collaborate without the need to travel abroad. Since then, we have held annual meetings and supported various scholarly publications, educational opportunities, and community engagement initiatives. Our commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect is at the core of our activities, ensuring that our association remains welcoming and supportive for all members
